The average annual temperature is continuously increasing even in the cities of Russia which are covered with snow throughout the year. To some extent, climate change is responsible for the increase in the incidence of earthquakes, cyclones and landslides. The sudden burning of forests also indicates how much turmoil is taking place in the climate. If we consider the factors of climate change, its main reason can be considered to be the emission of toxic gases into the atmosphere. As a result of these emissions, the ozone layer that protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet rays coming from the Sun is being depleted. The increasing amount of aerosols in the Earth is adversely affecting the Earth's water cycle. The result of this is seen in the form of imbalance of precipitation and global warming. Due to global warming, we are losing an estimated 267 billion tons of ice every year since 2000 AD. Seeing the earth's temperature rising uncontrollably, scientist Eric Fisher has said, 'The climate is behaving like an athlete does after taking steroids.' At the root of such climatic conditions is the greedy nature of humans, who want to exploit even the last drop of nature. As a warning against this intention of human beings, Gandhiji had said that the earth provides enough resources for the needs of all human beings, but its resources will fall short to satisfy the greed of even one person. It is worrying that humans are trying to establish themselves in the role of creator in the race to get ahead in the blind race of development. It is a good thing to test the limits of intelligence and logic and go beyond them, but during such efforts, breaking the limits of nature itself creates the background for the destruction of human beings and appears before us in the form of various natural disasters. After indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources for hundreds of years, in the second half of the twentieth century, human society's attention turned to the need for conservation of the earth and environment, and serious efforts in this direction began with the Earth Conference held in Rio in 1992. However, all such efforts are inadequate unless they are implemented on the ground of reality. The world is still far from implementing what was agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement. Countries in the Global South like India are trying to fulfill their responsibilities towards the environment as per their limits, but collective efforts are still to be made in this regard. And in the end it can be said that it is becoming difficult day by day for humans and other living beings to live on Earth. And efforts to make it habitable again are too few, too slow and inadequate. If immediate attention is not given to this, then what we saw in Dubai will be seen tomorrow in Rajasthan and also in the Sahara desert. Where there are rainforests today, there will be desert tomorrow. Where there are glaciers today, there will be plains tomorrow. Where today there are fields and a dense population, tomorrow they will be deserted.
